refunds

i bought an item on b.i.n,and paid instantly with paypal.the following day i recieved mail from seller saying she didnt have the item,i agreed to cancel the transaction and i was refunded.the payment is showing refunded and completed,but is not showing in my paypal balance i have mailed paypal but not recievedd reply yet,the refund was made to me on 24/8,can anyone help as i have paid out again for a similar item thinking the money for the 1st item was in my account and i really dont want to pay twice,
