My pay pal account

I have received an e-mail from yourselves saying that a payment, via paypal, has not gone through. I have not used my pay pal account for years as i cant remember my pass word so have not made any payment through paypal. Could you please let me know what is going on as i am concerned that someone has access to my bank account details. Many thanks.Regards Alison Rosemurgey
