Buyer has paid to wrong account specified

Hey,I sold an item on ebay, but unfortunately ebay still had my old Paypal account linked instead of my new one.So therefore the buyer sent it to the old account, so i told him to pay to the new account by sending a request money form from the account. The buyer said he had paid...I went on it but there was no activity or payment recieved so i cancelled that account. (and when i read the T C it said that any payments wold be unclaimed and there would be no charge to the buyer if i didnt claim the payment, which i checked as there was no transaction).And now what do i do...i have cancelled a PP account which means the buyer wouldnt be able to pay into it, because i checked there were no activity, and have provided the buyer with the new account...Please help
