Help!

Hi. Yesterday I sold an item on ebay but I can't get my money. The buyer immediately sent the money via paypal but I can't get it. When I click to claim my payment it tells me to make a new account to get the money, and when I check my existing paypal account (which I've had for like 4 years) the balance is zero.I think I know what caused this. A while ago I changed my primary email address on paypal from an old address to my current one, but I forgot to do the same with ebay. I only updated my ebay email address a few mins ago.So how do I get the money to my paypal account? Thanks.
