paypal help

l listed items for sale thinking the buyer would be happy to pay any other way than paypal.....l have had three people pay by paypal l have a paypal account but have not verified it nor linked it up to ebay l now know you have to accept paypal as a payment form on ebay my problem is one buyer said he will try and cancel hi payment tomorrow and tonight an other buyer said l have accepted payment so l need to cancel payment how have l accepted payment? how do you know you have had a payment from a buyer to your paypal account? how do l accept it? l have looked on paypal tried there help pages but l feel like l am going round in a circle
