Today, tickets for the forthcoming Oasis tour of the UK went on sale at 9am, so I dragged myself out of my bed, and dialled the number at exactly 9am, and wasn't surprised to find it engaged.
So I kept trying, and trying, and trying.......................................... and still the line remained engaged.
I eventually got through to the hot line at 2pm to be informed that all tickets for all venues had sold out, very annoying considering their phone line had been constantly engaged for 5 hours.
My annoyance levels rose even further when after a quick search on ebay ( at 1715hrs) I found 77 different sellers hawking tickets to the SECC venue for a minimum of 100 each, and each of them were offering anywhere between 2 and 6 tickets for sale.
This practice disgusts me, and I urge ebay to stop allowing this blatant ticket touting to continue. Genuine fans cannot get tickets to see their favourite bands for these touts who buy tickets with no other intention than to sell them on.
IF EBAY WERE TO BAN SUCH SALES - MAYBE GENUINE FANS WOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE A CHANCE OF BUYING TICKETS.
PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THESE TICKETS IF YOU SEE THEM FOR SALE - YOU WILL ONLY BE ENCOURAGING TICKET TOUTING.
