The problems with PayPal

This is the accompany guide for the benefits with paypal.

PayPal has its pros and cons. This guide is for the cons

Please view our other guide for the pros

PayPal can be expensive for sellers if you recivce 1.00, then paypal will charge you up to 25p.

Their customer service is horrible. They used to hide their telephone
number, and only provided support via "form" emails: (the only reason
their number can be found now is because they were forced to by law)

Their terms of service are not completely disclosed upon signup and
some key "conditions" are not disclosed. Im still not sure what they
are, I cannot find them all on the website, I can only find a few.

If PayPal feels your actions are questionable, PayPal is the
investigator, judge, jury and executioner so you will have no chance.
They also refuse to provide you with the details of their investigation
and withhold documents they relied upon to make their decisions.

If you are an up-standing individual with hundreds of successful
transactions, but someone pays you with a stolen credit card, your
account (by PayPal's own admission) is immediately flagged as being
"criminal behavior" and any money in that account is confiscated is
this fair?

Facts about PayPal that may shock you;
Can PayPal hold my money with no explanation? The answer is YES.
Can PayPal freeze my account for no reason? The answer is YES.
Can PayPal take money out of my account without my knowledge? The answer is YES.

The problems are bad, however, it is easy to use and free to send money (it only costs to receive money).

You can use Nochex as an alternative; view our benefits of using Nochex guide.
